At first, I would like to say sorry to everyone on the server for disturbing you guys with my daily suggestions. Actually I really like to write about games I love, especially Minecraft. As you may have heard about my article which was published in Prothom Alo a few months ago.
But today, I wanna talk about the Tp system on this server. I know it is a bit of a controversial topic but stay with me till the end. My past experience (from other servers) tells me the Tp system is ruining a lot of fun in a survival world. Don't get me wrong, it is also fun to teleport anywhere you want but it comes with a cost.
Here are some of the fun that is ruined by the Tp system:
1. Nether Hub: If you ever played on a server that has no tp system or watched the Harmitcraft series on YouTube you may know how much fun it is to connect your portal with others in Nether Hub. Especially when you occationally visit the spawn It's an adventure feeling every time you step on nether. Also, people were used to decorating their tunnel with their own theme, so that when other people visit, they could feel the creativity even before entering to the base.
2. Market: One of the most fun things to do in a minecraft server is to occationally do a shoping spree in market. People would often go to market with nether tunnel or even iced boat if the spawn was too far. Markets were always busy and the shops were always sold out. Even though there were no in game /shops, the economy was free. People would buy even building blocks from the market at a very competitive and cheap rate. I remember, I used to shop the whole day with a 2/3 shulkar box full of books, blocks and rare staff. But now, thanks to the Tp system, Market feels really empty. People come and go and they don’t even wanna stay a little bit longer and cheak other shops. Also, there is very little competition left in the server. And for lack of completion there will hardly be any good products (competition inspires creativity by the way).
3. Advanture: One of the key things and fun things you can do in minecraft is to go for a month long adventure. Imagine, you are looking for a Woodland Mension or a Distance End City. You have the Cartographar at home. You bought an old woodland map from him and found out the menstion is over 10, 000 blocks far away. You fed your horses, gave it a diamond armor, prepared your favourite beef stakes and started travelling throughout the land to find the unfindable Mysterious Mention. But the most interesting and fun part was, not finding the mention but bring back the loots safely in your home. I cannot tell you enough how much satisfying it feels when you first see your lovely house in the distance with inventory full of loots. The exact same feeling happens when you get lost in the nether, lose all of survibing as the food is about to finish. But suddenly find a long tunnel that connects to someone elses base and your life is saved for the timebeing.
Now imagine, with the Tp command, you just finished looting your first End city and before finding a gateway or even before climbing down from the building, you just tped to your bed. That's it.
